TODAY!

AHHH! Finally today is the day that I leave for New York for my orientation! I can't believe it. It doesn't seem real. I've been waiting for this for so long and now I am saying goodbye to everyone I know. It's been an exciting but sad week.
My mom threw me an "Arrivederci Lexi" party this Saturday and it was alot of fun. My family and friends were there. Then, when people started leaving, it got sad because I had to say goodbye for six months. It's hard to realize that I won't see them until July. I'll miss everybody alot but this is too good  an opportunity to pass up. I can't believe that in a few days, I'll be with my host family in Bari for SIX MONTHS!

20 DAYS!

OMG ONLY 20 DAYS UNTIL MY ORIENTATION IN NEW YORK! This is just so surreal. I don't think it's really hit that in less than 3 weeks I'll be in Italy for 6 MONTHS! I'm so excited!!!!!!



In other news...I have my visa appointment with the consulate tomorrow. I'm so nervous that I won't get it in time. Wish me luck!
