AHHHHH!

OMG I WAS ACCEPTED INTO AFS ITALY! I was actually accepted about a week ago but i havent had time to update my blog. oh and one other thing...I GOT MY HOST FAMILY!!!!!!! I can't believe it. I didn't think I would get my family until December but yesterday I got the email.  So this also means I FINALLY know where I'm going. In just 94 days (but who's keeping track) I will be going to Bari, Italy! I am so excited! This city seems perfect. It's in southern Italy which is good because I hate the snow and it's on the coast. What more could I ask for. My host family seems nice so far. I'm planning on writing an email to them after I update this. I AM SO EXCITED! It's real now. I'm actually going. I can't believe it!

I GOT ACCEPTED INTO AFSUSA!!! I'm so excited! Now it's definite that I'm going abroad i just dont know where for sure. I've heard that it's nearly always your first choice so I'm pretty sure that I'm going to Italy. I can't wait to find out if I am accepted into AFS ITALY!

Going Abroad?

I'm Lexi and I hope to go to Italy with AFS for the spring semester of my junior year.I've always loved Italy and am teaching myself Italian. One day in August I was bored so I started looking up foreign exchange programs and not really expecting an answer, I asked my mom if I could study abroad for a semester. I was so excited when she said yes! I submitted my complete application yesterday and now I'm just waiting. This is probably the worst part. It's only been 24 hours and I'm complaining. My other choices were France or Portugal, both of which are amazing and I would love to go there, but Italy is my top choice. I can't wait to find out if I'm going to Italy!
